Jio postpaid customers will have to pay security deposit up to Rs 1,800: Reports

NEW DELHI: Customers will have to pay a security deposit to subscribe to Reliance Jio’s postpaid plans, media reports said quoting a filing with Trai.

Reliance Jio recently rolled out post paid tariff plans to woo the high revenue customers who till now were on Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (VIL)’s postpaid plan. The new plans are for Rs 399, Rs 599, Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1499.

According to a regulatory filing with Trai by the telco, customers of the new postpaid plans will have to shell out money in the range of Rs 500 – Rs 1,800 as security deposits.
