Jio outguns Airtel, corners bulk of Vi’s churning subs in April: Trai data

Kolkata: Reliance Jio’s mobile user gains were significantly higher than Bharti Airtel in April 2023, which analysts said indicated that the telecom market leader had grabbed the bulk of Vodafone Idea’s churning customers.

Latest data collated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) showed that Jio added a whopping 3.04 million mobile users in April while Airtel’s reported merely 76,328 additions, weighed down by the hefty tariff hikes taken in its base prepaid rates.
