Jio may report robust sequential revenues per user by H1 of FY23: Analysts
Reliance Jio is likely to report strong sequential growth in average revenue per user (Arpu) by the fiscal second quarter as the full benefit of tariff hikes taken last December are likely to play out through the April-September period, analysts said.
The delayed flow-through is since a majority of the Mukesh Ambani-led telco’s mobile users – unlike those of Bharti Airtel NSE -1.29 % and Vodafone Idea NSE 0.54 % (Vi) – are on longer-duration price plans. “Jio’s Arpu will inch up and the full impact of the December 2021 tariff hike will reflect only by 1HFY23F as the telco, typically, has a higher proportion of subscribers on longer-validity plans,” Nomura Research said in a note seen by ET.
