Jio launches 5G on 26GHz across all telecom circles for enterprises

NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio on Monday said the company has launched 5G-based connectivity using 26GHz millimetre wave (mmWave) spectrum across all 22 telecom circles to meet the minimum rollout obligations of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Jio said that on July 19, 2023, it had completed submission of the prescribed details towards completion of the phase-1 minimum roll-out obligation with the telecom department units and by August 11, 2023, the telecom department had completed necessary testing in all circles.
