Jio investing additional Rs 2,500 cr for 5G roll out in Assam: Himanta Biswa Sarma

NEW DELHI: Assam chief minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday launched Jio True 5G services in the city. Alongside, Jio also launched its 5G-powered WiFi services at Maa Kamakhya Temple complex today.

From today, Jio users in Guwahati and seven additional cities across four states of Karnataka (Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore, Belgaum), Kerala (Chertala), Telangana (Warangal, Karimnagar) and Maharashtra (Solapur) will also be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at up to 1Gbps speeds, according to a statement by the telco.
