Jio completed 5G coverage planning in top 1000 cities: RIL

MUMBAI: Reliance Jio has completed 5G coverage planning in top 1,000 cities, parent Reliance Industries said in its annual report released Saturday.

The coverage planning is based on targeted customer consumption and revenue potential using heat maps, 3D maps and ray tracing technology, it added.

Reliance Jio was the most aggressive buyer in the recently concluded 5G spectrum auction, picking up 24.740 GHz of airwaves for Rs 88, 078 crore, including 10 MHz of the pricey 700 MHz band pan-India.
