Jio Bharat 4G phone unlikely to have ‘meaningful impact’ on Airtel: BNP Paribas

NEW DELHI: Reliance Jio’s Jio Bharat 4G phone is unlikely to have a meaningful impact on Bharti Airtel due to the feature phone customers base accounting for a minor share of the Sunil Mittal-led telecom operator’s mobile revenue and the unlikelihood of users of Jio’s previous feature phones churning to the new device, brokerage firm BNP Paribas said Tuesday in a note.
