Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea set up war rooms; enter ICR during cyclone Tauktae

Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio), Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) have set up war rooms with special teams to monitor the impact of cyclone Tauktae that has hit Kerala, Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra. The telcos and their infrastructure partners have stocked up on digital generators and spare parts to ensure digital connectivity is not disrupted.

“..we have ensured sufficient fuel supply to our sites across all locations, and stocking at strategic locations, for use in times of emergency. Additionally, mobile DGs, critical equipment spares and vehicles have been arranged and kept ready at key locations,” said a Vi spokesperson to ET.
