‘Jio, Airtel may together spend up to $17 billion in 5G capex by FY25’

Kolkata: Reliance NSE 1.55 % Jio and Bharti Airtel NSE 0.83 % are estimated to spend $9.1 billion and $7.7 billion, respectively, excluding spectrum costs, primarily on 5G capex through FY23-25 and are set to corner more market share, chasing top-end customers from cash-strapped Vodafone Idea NSE 2.26 % (Vi), say analysts.
