IT to remain important, banking will grow, newer areas will give NIIT sustainable growth going forward: Rajendra Singh Pawar

Rajendra Singh Pawar, Chairman, NIIT Group, says “what IT did for us for 20 years and banking has done for the last 15 years, will be done by a couple of new areas, whether it is to do with the whole decarbonisation area, engineering, R&D or design. There are areas of new manufacturing. These are the emerging areas. And we have plans to start engaging in those areas as we go forward. So while IT will remain important, banking will grow, it is the newer areas which will give us more sustainable growth going forward.”
