IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad says Twitter denied him access to his account for an hour

Bengaluru: Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said that Twitter denied him access to his own account for almost an hour, citing a violation of a US copyright law, before granting him access again.

Twitter’s actions were in violation of India’s new IT rules, he said in a tweet. The minister had posted video interviews of him with TV channels.
