IT firms are hiring fewer people in legacy skills, demand for cloud, data analytics rise

BENGALURU: Technology services providers have hired fewer people with legacy skills during the past 3-4 months due to the business slowdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, even as demand for newer digital skills is rising, analysts said.

Software services exporters have recruited more people with skills in data analytics, data science, cloud computing (AWS) and other emerging technologies, they said.
