ISRO working to bring more foreign investment into space industry: Chairman S Somanath

NEW DELHI: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is working to bring more foreign investment into the country’s space industry, and to this effect, a policy governing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is expected to be released “soon”, the national space agency’s Chairman S Somanath said Monday.

“We are entrusted to bring in more foreign investment in space. The FDI governing for the whole sector will soon be released for this to happen,” Somanath said in a virtual address at the ‘Indian Space Conclave 2023’ organised by the Indian Space Association (ISpA).
