Israel may be using Pegasus spyware to track those kidnapped by Hamas

The notorious spyware previously came under fire for helping governments to allegedly spy on journalists, human rights activists, among others but now, it is said to be used to locate those kidnapped by Hamas terrorist organisation. As per a report, Israel appears to be using NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware to track those kidnapped/ murdered by Hamas.

Citing a source with direct knowledge of NSO’s operations, Axios reports that several Israeli agencies are likely using Pegasus to help track people kidnapped by Hamas, as well as people who have gone missing during Hamas’ attack last month.
