Irasus Technologies to use AI to detect battery fires

A data analytics start-up for electric vehicles, Irasus Technologies, is predicting possible malfunction of batteries by using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) on real-time data from connected batteries in EVs on the road. This could help prevent accidents such as fires and other issues plaguing the EV domain.

Based in Gurgaon, Irasus uses cloud-based analytics to monitor battery performance and detect malfunctions and also provide solutions. The aim is to improve and increase the longevity of the battery systems.

Founded in 2018 by Arjun Sinha Roy and Aniruddh Ramesh, both from BITS Pilani, Irasus recently received a round of angel funding.
