iPhone most sought after pre-owned smartphone in tier-1 cities; OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, Realme popular in tier 2,3 cities: Study

NEW DELHI: Apple iPhone continues to be the most sought after smartphone brand in the pre-owned market, especially in tier-1 cities whereas BBK Electronics-owned brands OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and Realme are more popular with consumers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, a new study by online marketplace OLX India said.

Demand for Apple iPhone in tier-1 cities is 34% while the four Chinese brands contribute to 63% of the total smartphone demand, the findings showed.

The demand for Apple iPhone is followed by Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi’s Mi Phones and Korea’s Samsung, respectively.
