iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max to ditch physical buttons for solid-state buttons: Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo

The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro series is said to come with numerous upgrades but so far the biggest update is that the smartphones could ditch the clickable physical buttons and instead go for solid-state buttons. Noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in his latest survey has found that the power and volume buttons of iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max could drop the clickable buttons to adopt a solid-state design similar to the home button design of iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. These are buttons that basically don’t click like physical buttons. Instead, they use haptic feedback. You can’t press down these buttons and you get vibrate in response.
