iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura releasing on October 24

The wait for the new version of iPadOS and macOS will end soon, as the software update will be released next week. Apple has confirmed that the iPadOS 16.1 and macOS Ventura will be released on October 24. Meanwhile, the release candidate version has already been released to the developers who have been testing the beta version of the OS’ for months now.

The iPadOS 16.1 (or the iPadOS 16) and macOS Ventura brings the Stage Manager to iPads and Macs. The iPadOS 16 was expected to release last month, but the release was reportedly pushed back due to complications with the development of Stage Manager for iPad.

iPadOS 16.1 – What’s new for iPads
The Stage Manager will be available for M1 and M2-based iPads and Macs. The feature has been extended to selected older iPad models, including the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro (third generation and later). However, these iPads will not get external display support.
