Int’l call centre busted, 7 arrested in G’gram

A cyber crime police station team of the Gurugram police have busted an international call centre on the intervening night of Thursday and arrested 7 people, police said. The alleged call centre was being run in sector 67, Gurugram where foreign nationals are being defrauded on the pretext of technical support.

The accused mostly targeted foreign nationals of Australia and the United States of America by sending them fake e-mails by impersonating tech support representatives from PayPal, Amazon and Norton. The accused were identified as Mohammad Zafar Iqbal (38), Noor Hussain (28), Sumit (32), Abhishek Mishra (30), Sheikh Ibrahim (28), Abhishek Gupta (35), and Mohammad Adil (32)
