Intel announces new 10th generation H-series processors with up to 5.3GHz clock speed, integrated Wi-Fi 6 support and more
Expanding its 10th-generation Core processor lineup, Intel has announced its first 10th Gen Comet Lake H-series processors for laptops. According to the company, this is Intel’s most powerful chips specifically designed for high-end gaming laptops and machines for content creators. The new H-series lineup has a TDP of 45W and comes with up to 8 cores and 16 threads. Also, these processors can attain a maximum clock speed of up to 5.3GHz. With the entire new lineup Intel is claiming around 44% overall performance boost compared to a three-year old laptop running Intel Core i7-7820HK processor.
10th generation Intel Core-H processor lineup
Under the new H-series, the company has announced a total of six processors divided into Core i9, Core i7 and Core i5. The Intel Core i9-10980HK is the most powerful processor among others and it comes with 8 cores and 16 threads with base clock of 2.4GHz and maximum clock speed of 5.3GHz. In addition to that, the processor is also fully unlocked for overclocking.
