Integrity, good governance must for startups to grow in the long term: Amitabh Kant
Calling for a robust self-regulatory framework for startups, India’s G20 sherpa, Amitabh Kant, said Saturday that there are lessons to be learnt from recent corporate governance failures at some Internet companies in India.
“We have seen this happening in several startups in recent times. We’ve seen this in a housing company, in a trading company, in a payments company in recent times … therefore, there are lessons to be learnt from all these examples of where these challenges have arisen. It’s important that a clear governance framework (is laid down),” he said.
