Infrastructure demand from Jio, Airtel rising: Salasar’s Shashank Agarwal
NEW DELHI: The demand to deploy infrastructure by telecom carriers such as Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, is surging as the industry played a pivotal role in connecting the people virtually, a top executive of infrastructure company said.
“The demand for infrastructure is on an increasing trend, especially during Covid-19-induced lockdown period. The telecom industry has played a vital role by keeping people virtually connected, which has significantly increased the demand for data consumption,” Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director, Salasar Techno Engineering told ETTelecom.
In the wake of shutdowns across the country starting March last year, telecom service providers enabled remote work or work-from-home culture amid contagious Coronavirus pandemic.
