Infosys says US arm hit by cybersecurity event

BENGALURU: Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS), a subsidiary of Infosys BPM in the US, was impacted by a ‘cybersecurity event’ that resulted in non-availability of certain applications and systems in IMS, the company said in an exchange filing on Friday.

“Data protection and cybersecurity are of utmost importance to us. We are working with a leading cybersecurity products provider to resolve this at the earliest and have also launched an independent investigation with them to identify potential impact on systems and data,” it said.

Infosys McCamish is a platform-based BPO firm that provides services to the financial services sector supporting life insurance and annuity products and retirement plans.
