Infosys hikes revenue guidance after strong quarter

IT giant Infosys raised its revenue guidance for the current financial year on Thursday after the outsourcing behemoth beat quarterly earnings forecasts on sustained demand for its digital services.

Net profit rose 13.4 per cent year-on-year to 65.86 billion rupees for the December quarter.

Revenue was up 20.2 per cent to 383.18 billion rupees for the same period, helped by strong demand in North America and Europe.

The company, based in tech hub Bengaluru, tweaked its constant-currency revenue guidance for the financial year ending March 31 to the range of 16-16.5 per cent, up from 15-16 per cent forecast in July.
