Indus Q4 PAT may fall 82% on Rs 1,500 crore provision for Vodafone Idea
Kolkata: Indus Towers is likely to make a provision of around Rs 1,500 crore towards doubtful debt in the fiscal fourth quarter amid key customer Vodafone Idea’s (Vi) continuing liquidity challenges, a move that could trigger an 82% on-year fall in the tower company’s net profit for the January-March period, said analysts.
The final provisioning quantum would be based on loss-making Vi’s payment shortfall in the March quarter alone since Indus has already accounted for previous shortfalls by its key customer in the October-December period.
