India’s telecoms standards body TSDSI says submitted 6G vision to ITU-R

NEW DELHI: The Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDSI) Wednesday said it submitted its 6G vision with the ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) to drive the direction of 6G technologies as part of the vision for IMT-2030.

ITU-R has initiated work on developing a recommendation on a vision for IMT for 2030 and beyond and the draft document has been named “ITU-R M. [IMT.VISION 2030 and BEYOND]”.

TSDSI said that it has adopted a two-pronged strategy for its “6G” journey– to steer research in India to serve the goals and to continue engagement with global standard bodies for harmonization of efforts including ITU WP 5D.
