‘India’s telecom fraud protection market incredible’

NEW DELHI: The telecom fraud protection market in India is considerable while scams are increasingly becoming severe with enterprise PBX systems are targeted, Frankfurt-based company’s top executive told ETT.

“The addressable market for a telecoms fraud protection service in a country like India is incredible. Telecoms fraud across Asia, especially in the developing and emerging markets, is epidemic,” chief executive of Oculeus Arnd Baranowski said.

PBX hacking or toll fraud, according to Baranowski is a serious form of telecom fraud, causing enormous financial damage to both telcos and enterprises everywhere in the world.
