India’s tablet market falls 25% to 4.01 mn units in 2023: IDC

NEW DELHI: India’s tablet market, including detachables and slates, fell 25% year-over-year to 4.01 million units in 2023, according to an International Data Corporation (IDC) report released on Tuesday.

Samsung ranked first in the market with a volume share of 39.5%, despite its shipments falling 34.7% year-over-year in 2023. Lenovo, in the second spot, saw its shipments slide 38.6% year-over-year and it held a share of 14.3%. Apple stood third with a share of 13.9% as it witnessed an annual decline of 11.1%, according to the research firm’s data.
