India’s security directive on telecom to cover all connected devices by 2027: NCSC
New Delhi: In a push for greater cybersecurity, India is planning to ensure that by 2027, all devices that connect to a network and all hardware and software used are from a “trusted source”, the country’s national cybersecurity coordinator M U Nair said on Friday.
“The scope of national security directive on telecom will increase over the next few years, where we ensure that every device that gets connected to a network, or hardware or software used, are all from a trusted source and is a trusted product,” Nair said, speaking at the India Mobile Congress.
