India’s richest man takes first step towards made-in-India 5G technology

Reliance Jio and Google Cloud announced a partnership for 5G solutions, laying foundation for India’s digitization during Reliance’s 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM). Jio will use Google Cloud’s cutting-edge technology to power Jio’s 5G solutions, said Mukesh Ambani.

“A new 5G partnership between Google Cloud and Jio will help more than a billion Indians connect to a faster internet, support businesses in digital transformation and lay foundation for next phase of India’s digitisation,” said Google-parent Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai.
