Indian smartphone industry to sell 49.9 million units worth $16.9 billion during festive quarter: Techarc

NEW DELHI: The Indian smartphone industry is expected to earn more than half of its revenue in October-December 2021 by selling over 49.9 million smartphones worth Rs 1.252 billion ($16.9 billion) during the said festive quarter, according to Techarc.

The sales contribution of the quarter by revenue and volume is estimated at 56% and 32% respectively, it said.

The revenue contribution will be driven by the “premium segment” (Rs 25,000-Rs 50,000), with the segment contributing 51.7% of the total revenues during the quarter.
