IndiaMart moves HC claiming Just Dial filed false documents
IndiaMart NSE -2.45 % Intermesh has approached the Bombay High Court alleging that Just Dial NSE -4.91 % has filed false and fabricated documents in the court in an ongoing copyright infringement dispute and sought an investigation against the database firm.
A division bench of Justices Sunil Deshmukh and Abhay Ahuja on Friday directed Just Dial, its founder VSS Mani and other board members to file their response to the B2B company’s petition and scheduled the next hearing for July 30.
In the application, BSE-listed IndiaMart alleged that the documents were filed by Just Dial without a certificate under Section 65B of the Evidence Act, which was a pre-condition for the admission of any electronic records, as it had not described the manner in which it obtained the documents.
