India wearable market logs 75-million-unit shipments in first nine months of 2022: IDC

NEW DELHI: The India wearable market logged a record of 37.2 million units shipments in the September quarter (3Q22), a growth of 56.4% year-over-year, the International Data Corporation (IDC) said on Friday in a report.

IDC said 75 million units were shipped in the first nine months of this year (January to September), while vendors remained aggressive in their shipments to build up inventory for the festive season (August-October). Heavy discounting and offers resulted in a 13.6% year-over-year decline in average selling price (ASP) in Q3.
