India to remain growth market for iPhones, say analysts

New Delhi: India is expected to remain a bright spot for Apple iPhones, at a time when the US technology major is seeing tepid demand for its products globally that triggered a downgrade of the company by two US brokerages recently.

India iPhone shipments are expected to rise between 10-15% (as per IDC India) and 25-26% (according to Counterpoint Research) in 2024, driven by an affordability drive with extended instalment schemes of up to 30 months, scaling up of local manufacturing and the high aspirational value attached to Apple products.
