India tablet PC market grows 21% sequentially in 4Q23, driven by 5G, premium devices: CMR

NEW DELHI: The India tablet PC market grew by 21% quarter-over-quarter in Q4 2023, led by Apple with a 25% volume share, Lenovo (24%), and Samsung (19%), according to the latest data released by CyberMedia Research (CMR) on Monday. The growth in shipments was driven by demand for 5G tablets, as per the research firm.

5G tablet shipments soared by 43% year-over-year in the December quarter, accounting for a significant share of the market. Wi-Fi tablets also performed well, recording a 13% annual increase and claiming 52% of overall shipments.
