India smartphone users spent lesser time on Wifi in Jan-Mar: OpenSignal
New Delhi: Even as Indians are in home quarantine due to COVID-19 lockdown, smartphone users’ engagement on Wifi has been muted in the past two months.
According to data from UK-based mobile analytics firm Opensignal, average amount of smartphone users’ time spent connected to Wifi has infact declined from 10.2% to 9.8% between January 6 and March 22.
“In contrast to many other countries, Opensignal did not detect a statistically significant week-on-week increase in the percentage of time Indian smartphone users have spent on Wifi,” the company said in a report.
