India should not lose momentum on 5G: Nunzio Mirtillo

The telecom relief package recently announced by the Indian government will help the industry “leapfrog and accelerate” as it prepares for the 5G technology, says Nunzio Mirtillo, head of Ericsson Southeast Asia, Oceania and India. There is space in India for a 3+1 operator market structure, given the country’s sheer size, Mirtillo tells ET’s Danish Khan, adding that he hopes Vodafone Idea will do a “nice restart””.
