India should have its own contextual language model, said experts at Nasscom Future Forge conclave here on Tuesday.

Kalika Bali, a principal researcher with Microsoft Research Labs India for 17.5 years has been working on natural language processing and speech, including in Indian languages. She has worked with low resource language communities. “I started getting interested in actual deployment of technologies that help them, which is not just about language but other issues and access-related aspects,” she said.
