India PC market falls 6.6% to 13.9 mn units in 2023: IDC

NEW DELHI: The India PC market, including desktops, notebooks and workstations, registered a 6.6% year-over-year decline in shipments to 13.9 million units in 2023, according to an International Data Corporation (IDC) report released on Tuedday. However, artificial intelligence (AI) PC launches in the second half of the year may boost the market in 2025, as per IDC.

IDC said that the total market rebounded in the second half (2H23) with a 12.9% year-over-year growth after a weak first half. The market grew 11.4% year-over-year in Q4 2023 as both desktops and notebooks grew by 16.8% and 9.9% in the quarter, respectively.
