India operations not impacted by parent Ebix bankruptcy filing: EbixCash

The India operations of Ebix will not be affected by the bankruptcy protection filed by its parent Ebix Inc in a Texas court, EbixCash, the Indian payments and remittance subsidiary said on Wednesday.

According to a Bloomberg report, the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing came after the software services company for the insurance and healthcare sector, founded by Indian-origin businessman Robin Raina, failed to repay its dues against a $600-million credit facility from American banks.
