India now has 936.16 million internet subscribers: TRAI

The number of Internet subscribers reached 936.16 million at the end of December 2023 – up from 918.19 million at the end of September, a report by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said, adding that India registered a quarterly rate of growth 1.96% in the last three months of 2023.

The report said that out of 936.16 million internet subscribers, there are 38.57 million wired internet subscribers while wireless internet subscribers are at 897.59 million.

Additionally, the country has a 904.54 million broadband internet subscriber base and 31.62 million narrowband subscriber base.
