India is a ‘lighthouse country’ for Reels for parent entity Meta Inc globally, a top company executive said.

Meta launched the short-from video platform two years ago after TikTok was banned following border hostilities with China. Reels became hugely popular in the country, in line with rising adoption of short-form content globally.
