India has an AI ‘solution’ to tackle increasing floods, droughts

The government is trying to improve weather forecasting in the country as torrential rains, floods and droughts increase. According to a report by the news agency Reuters, to handle such situations is testing artificial intelligence (AI) to build climate models.

In recent years, global warming has triggered more intense clashes of weather systems in India. The independent Centre for Science and Environment body has claimed that increasing extreme weather events have killed nearly 3,000 people this year.
