Independence Day offers boost retail sales over the weekend

The extended festive weekend saw like-to-like sales cross 2019 levels, a dozen retailers, restaurants and brands said. “The government’s three-day Har Ghar Tiranga campaign also led to spreading cheer, apart from the extended weekend, and discounts offered by various retailers,” said Retailers Association of India (RAI) CEO Kumar Rajagopalan.
