Increased competition likely in India’s budget 5G smartphones in 2024: Realme Founder Sky Li

NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Realme expects increased competition as handset players aggressively target the affordable smartphone segment, especially in the sub-Rs 10,000 5G device category, seeing a surge in demand for “feature-rich” devices at competitive prices.

“Given the competitive landscape, we anticipate increased competition as other players aggressively target the affordable smartphone segment. We remain committed to catering to evolving consumer needs and providing innovative solutions within this dynamic market,” Sky Li, CEO and Founder of Realme, told ET in an emailed statement.
