Inability of Vodafone Idea to raise funds may hurt Indus Towers’ finances, says tower firm

Vodafone Idea’s inability to raise funds will hurt its ability to pay for infrastructure services and adversely affect Indus Towers’ overall financial condition as the telco is one of the company’s largest customers, the country’s top telecom towers company said in its annual report for FY21.

Vi recently said poor health of the telecom sector had hindered its efforts to raise Rs 25,000 crore via a mix of debt and equity, a plan announced last September.
