In big surprise, Zomato co-founder Gaurav Gupta quits just months after IPO; Deepinder Goyal reacts

Zomato co-founder Gaurav Gupta has quit. This was announced by Gupta himself in an email he sent to Zomato employees. Notably, through the entire process of the Zomato IPO held recently, Gupta was the leading figure. In his email to staff, Gupta said, “I am taking a new turn in my life and will be starting a new chapter, taking a lot from this defining chapter of my life – the last 6 years at Zomato. We have a great team now to take Zomato forward, and it’s time for me to take an alternate path in my journey.” Gupta’s mail was posted on the blog of the company. Gupta headed the supply function at Zomato.
