In a first, Mohali police introduces QR codes to identify specific locations

In a first, Mohali police has introduced a QR code system to identify locations which are critical from security point of view, and are difficult to detect via Google Maps.

Until now, local police officials assisted forces from other districts about specific locations. However, with this first-of-its-kind initiative, security personnel from other regions will get the maps of vital locations when they arrive at Mohali.

In Mohali, senior-level cricket matches and protests are common, leading to heavy deployment of police force. To streamline the entire process, the new system was introduced in the district.
