In a first, Apple may develop new iPhone model in India next year: Analyst
Apple’s iPhone assembly in India is expected to receive a significant boost, further strengthening the country’s manufacturing sector. Renowned Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has revealed that Apple may commence development of a new iPhone model outside of China for the first time with the launch of the iPhone 17 in 2025, a TOI report stated.
Kuo stated, “The new product introduction for the standard iPhone 17 is expected to kick-off in India in the second half of 2024.” This move is aimed at reducing design risks, with the standard iPhone model chosen for its lower-difficulty design development.
