IMC2020: Cinemas will have to offer 10 times better content than OTT : MX Player’s Talwar

New Delhi: Gautam Talwar,chief content officer of MX Player, said that cinemas will exist despite the explosion in OTT consumption in India , but the content has to be many fold better for a consumer to pay for the experience.

“I don’t think that the cinemas will not exist or OTT will take on, I just think that the kind of content available in the mediums will probably undergo a kind of a shift. The cinema will now have to really really justify the Rs 250-Rs 300 being asked for…”, said Talwar at India Mobile Congress on Thursday.
